"Silver Lining is a lovely, interesting recording.
I thoroughly enjoyed
listening to it. The creative arrangements bring out the best in
familiar tunes... Part of the appeal of this duo is that the
instruments work so successfully together. Both musicians can play
melody, harmony and chords, and the hammered dulcimer also adds some
percussive sounds that add drive and interest." "I love the subtle qualities of your recording,
and your playing together is wonderfully satisfying on many
levels. All the countermelodies, harmonies, and various musical
interactions are so natural that there's a fluid spring-like flow
through the recording. I especially like your piece Silver Lining
(not just for the title, which I love), but for the extreme sensitivity
with which you both approach this lovely piece. It's
evocative of Pachelbel a bit, and then it goes to a wonderfully
refreshing place that offers both fascination and fulfillment." "I was completely enthralled by it.
Especially #7 Archibald Macdonald.... It is soooooo
beautiful." "You guys just keep getting better. The
title tune on “Silver Lining” is a nice bit of poetry."
